you felt it. Funny thing...I thought the same thing over at Emma's. "Asshole neighbors....shut up!" Then it kept shaking for like, two or three minutes...her apt. is made of jello.
Oh, did it really go that long? I felt the initial shake and then I figured my mind was playing tricks on me for maybe 15-30 seconds afterwards. And was it truly all that big?, wow.
I was kind of all, "This is cool... oh well; dum de dee (nonchalant musical humming).
everyone is sharing their "where were you when the big one hit" stories....so...
...i was walking down 8th street, listening to the new radiohead (so timely!), and i didn't feel a thing until my pocket vibrated, indicating a voicemail from john, who, as the tale goes, was standing in the archway that leads into his living room, holding on for dear life.
i was reading the first issue of VANITAS, on my bed, sitting up against the wall. i felt the wall try to push me off, and my bed vibrate. so i got up and stood in the archway, too, feeling the vibrations thru the doorjame and watching my bathroom door sway slightly back and forth.

my building is already crooked so i don't feel that secure in it during geologic rioting.
