thanks...

just wanted to give HUGE thanks to all the poets/ friends/ strangers who have been sending their beautiful books/ art objects/ cd's/ misc. creative projects/ subscriptions/ software etc. these last couple of weeks...

a run down of love (i haven't had the time to read/listen/interact with half of the stuff sent so no reviews yet):

1. Each In Neither- Michael Slosek
2. Picture of the Basket- Sarah Mangold
3. Small Town PZA- Parker Zane Allen/ Logan Ryan Smith
4. Pete Hoffman Days- David Harrison Horton
5. The Bus- Lauren Kohne
6. Bharat Jiva- kari edwards
7. Ishmael Among The Bushes- William Allegrezza
8. Temper and Felicity are Lovers- Kathryn l. Pringle/ sent by the editor Suzanne Stein
9. Rosemary Stretch- Betsy Fagin
10. Signed Even As A Waiting- Paul Klinger
11. Narrow House media package- sent by the endlessly generous Justin Sirois/ package included a bunch of cd's, a handful of pins and a "poem patch" (i'm going to blog further about my new favorite press/ project, Narrow House, in the coming days...)
12. Bay Poetics release reading poster- David Larsen
13. Indesign software program- sent by Steve McLaughlin from Philly...
14. Practice- sent by the editor Adrian Lurssen

and a special thanks to Kevin Killlian for his support regarding Zane...KK read from Zane's Dating Tips at the Bay Poetics reading...the featured readers were asked by Stephanie to choose work (not their own) to read from the anthology...Zane isn't in the book, but KK read his work anyway...Zane's wake/roast was on the same night as the anthology reading...thanks Kevin...it means a lot...

I LOVE THIS COMMUNITY!

read Los Bros Hernandez Tears From Heaven (Fantagraphics Books) (Gilbert and Jaime are my all time favorite comics writers/artists...i can't get enough of Love And Rockets...i want to hump Love And Rockets)

Jeremiah's bag got gaffled last night at the bar...and then we left the bar...and then we found his backpack laying on a bench about half a block away from the bar...nothing missing...which was great, though it put me in a fowl mood for the rest of the night...went back to the bar...sort of wanted to fight every dude in the bar...dude asked me for a smoke, i said "don't have one," he said "nice shirt," i said "yeah...you too buddy..."

watched School Of Rock which was great...watched Shaun of the Dead which totally sucked...

i've been gorging on cherries and watermelon (watermelon in Greek is karpoozi...my all time favorite greek word, "signomi, echete karpoozi vree?")

...currently listening to The Giants vs. The Rockies on the radio drinking an ice cold Budweiser sweating profusely in this Colorado heat...

oen of my favorite swedish words is smultron (wild strawberries). but my all-time favorite swedish word is igelkottar (hedgehogs)

jag tycker om igelkottar.

not sure about that spelling. it's all immersion.
