I'm not sure how they differ out there, but in Houston and Austin, Half Price Books is one of the best places for books and records.

Last time we were in Houston, Jen found an original printing of the second Fugs album for about 18 bucks. Not an easy find. They're surprising sometimes. Not only does the record have a huge Ginsberg piece on the back, but songs are co-written by Olsen, Berrigan and Leary. The Olsen track is especially great.
