does Buffy The Vampire Slayer ever get good? that is, does it live up to all the hype of being TV Guides 41st Greatest Show Of All Time?
i ask because i'm currently on Season 2, a little more than half way through, and it still sucks...granted, an inch better than Season 1, but only an inch...
should i just delete the rest of the discs from my queue...i really wanted to like this show (as i'm a fan of campy horror (i'm the proud owner of that 50 Horror Movies For $25 collection you see advertised on late night TV))...but so far i can't understand how anyone could pay attention for 7 seasons, it's kind of the worst, and nothing ever happens, i mean, how many times can Gilles say "well, the city WAS built on a Hell Mouth" to conveniently explain away some incongruent plot point?...

i think it only gets good when willow becomes a lesbian & then flips out all evil style when something happens to her lover.
but, that's just me.
give up, remove all BUFFY discs from your cue, and put FIREFLY in its stead, capped with SERENITY, the movie.
actually, i've never given BUFFY any serious effort. but i have serious doubts about its validity.

that DOES sound awesome because at this point willow doesn't really even need to be there...and she hasn't since the pilot episode...and what about Claudia (is that her name, the dumb valley girl girl) who for the life of me can't understand why they haven't killed off yet...please tell me they eventually kill her off...her character contributes absolutely nothing, even more absolutely nothing than willow.
both firefly and serenity are in the queue.
I had an activitist friend once explain the progressive (read socialist) subtext of the show, but never really quite got it. I've only seen maybe three episodes, but do remember that Willow flipped out in nearly every one I saw.
It gets really nice in Season 3, when Eliza Dushku provides a mirror to Buffy's niceness. And the Mayor is a funny villain.
After that, it goes down the toilet.
And like Logan, I can only recommend Firefly.
Lame...all lame.
