How was APE AND ESSENCE? I'm intrigued by the title.
really really good.
it's written in the form of a movie script. it starts out with a narrative preable, then segues into a movie script that reads like a poem, then segues into a movie script that reads like a novel...it's actually a pretty amazing form...i sort of want to copy it.
and the book itself is about the aftermath of world war III where only new zealand is unaffected by "The Thing" of nuclear war...and all the people in southern california are Satanists and can only have sex for 2 weeks out of the year...it's awesome.
holy shit. that book sounds like it was written just for me. i'm going to have to read that.
