i was too hungover yesterday to make the trek to ye ol' lower haight, but it was, thankfully, streaming online via cnn.com.
it was fine. i believe hillary did nothing in the debate to stop obama's momentum. though i'm bothered by the fact that viewers think the standing O at the end was for hillary. they were standing up and applauding both candidates because the debate was over, not because of hillary's final statement.
anyway, here's a comment left by a Sonya on cnn.com regarding Hillary's final comments:
"Her ending was eloquent…too bad it was a lie. Clinton claims that she sat there watching the wounded warriors walk down the red carpet at the opening at the Center for the Intrepid. She is lying. I was at the opening for the Center for the Intrepid and witnessed Hillary Clinton and her entourage pull up 15 minutes late, well after the wounded soldiers had been seated and the ceremony had begun. It was rude and showed how little she cared for the audience that day."
