John, soon we will all visit T-REX for happy hour and then and only then will the closing living relative of this ancient animal be revealed.

In case you wanted to get more specific, here is the most commonly accepted evidence that modern aviale are actually coelurosaurs:
-perforate acetabulum
-opisthopubic pelvis
-thin-walled, hollow bones
-expanded braincases and kinetic skulls
-juvenile three-fingered hand
-rigid tails
-semilunate carpal, ascending process on the astragalus
-enlarged second toe claw
-hand-arm structure
