money...



1. no more taxi's...if i can't skate or walk i won't go

2. drink less beer...more vodka and cheap wine

3. smoke less, then quit smoking

4. no more itunes

5. no more after bar food

6. no record shopping for awhile

7. make my 6 pairs of shoes last

8. drink before leaving the house

9. only go to bars where friends work

10. pick up occasional jobs like bartending gallery openings, copywriting or dj'ing

11. eat less?

12. BART more

13. sell or trade chapbooks, don't give them away

14. let date pay for stuff

15. parent's house for supplies

how do you plan on saving?

This sounds just like having a kid! Except number 14, which isn't a viable option. :)

i'm not sure it's a viable option for me either...

maybe "move to Portland" is the most viable option of all...

SF is impossible...but so is travel.

It's all about an allowance. I go with $150 bones a week. Plus putting a certain percentage of your paycheck into you saving and a certain percentage into either a ira or a 401K, or both.

Oh yeah, don't forget about muni. Get a commuter check. Your company probably offers them pre tax. That way you can still get around when it's wet. You can also take bart within the city with a muni fast pass.

i'm going to try $100 a week...at most. at least for right now...been spending way too much lately, i feel like a dweeb...

i got a raise recently though...and i just got invited to speak on a panel...for some money.

you put it out there and the money comes in...

what's a commuter check?

i'll probably just let it rain on my head...
