if you think it, it will happen (at least that's what my boss Joe Conway told me this morning (my disdain for the state of Naropa's grounds/ buildings is well documented/ noted within the archives))...Naropa is getting a huge facelift...the facade and original bell-tower of the Lincoln Building are being restored...the parking lot is being repaved...new gardens are being tended...new windows being installed in the Upaya cottages...oh joy! i'm in heaven...Naropa has a huge problem with appearance...it's ugly...that's a fact...well not fair...one half of it is ugly...the area encompassing the Ginsberg Library and the admin building is beautiful...everything else is gross...but not for long!

currently listening to a lecture delivered by Armand Schwerner at Naropa from 93'...and then i'm in heaven with this tape (if you haven't read Schwerner's The Tablets you're missing out...big time...Francois, i'm thinking of you with regards to translation, though i'm just assuming you haven't read the book (it's somewhat hard to find), you very may well have))...
