that was pretty cool. is it just the way it's presented here, with the videotaping of the televsion playing the video, or was there a sort of futuristic, sci-fi, 1984-ish feeling to this performance?

and who's idea was it to have that piece performed?

yeah, i thought it was pretty neat too.

i'm not sure i understand your question though...the performance was a live performance...i was in the audience. but yeah, my piece totally had that minimalistic air about it.

the MFA Writing and Poetics department teamed up with the MFA Contemporary Performance department for a one night event called Embodied Poetics. the writing and poetics department invited their graduate students and faculty to submit a short piece for consideration by both them and the performance department. in the end, the actor's were the one's who chose what they performed...the writer's were completely left out of the process, the night of the performance was the first any of us had seen how the actor's interpreted our pieces...it was a very cool experience.
