2 brothers and a dog...

last night met up with my brother and Buddy (Emma's big stupid hilarious dog)...walked over to The Page for beers...

ran into James's friend John who looks exactly like the dude from Link 80 (except John is black)...full Bay ska, full mid-90's Bay skank.

grabbed a booth and watched Buddy slobber all over the place...

met up with Laura and Dusty and Tim/Kim...

ordered more Anchor...

duded out with Dusty about the Low Card skate aesthetic...into it, i think their aesthetic is fun, i think those dudes privilege fun...they're like what skateboarding was in 1988, or maybe 1992-94...

planned a pot luck with my brother and Laura at their apartment. Sunday Summer Pot Luck On Page Street bonanza forthcoming...i invited myself into the fold, i'm actually planning nothing, it's not my apartment, but i think this is a good thing...

Steve H. came down...he was wearing a Cory Feldman Summer Music Institute t-shirt...he said "it's my 'house' shirt'"...

ate burritos from The Little Chihuahua...new Mexican place in the neighborhood, Divis and Page...tasty.

went home and fell asleep watching Under Siege 2 staring a very young rosy cheeked Katherine Heigl...

tonight we dance!

Oh yeah Link 80! Holy shit. There singer was totally Danielle Steele's son and he totally OD'ed. In 1998 mY friend Sean and I drove all the way to Lawrence, KS to see Against All Authority at the the outhouse. The Outhouse was a music venue. It was actually a shack in the middle of a cornfield. We get there and we see a sign that says "Outhouse is closed, show has been moved" And the show had been moved to somewhere in KCMO. So we get back into the car and drive back to KCMO and try to find this house. We try and we don't where the fuck it is. Finally we found it. And we get there and we're all like is this the show? and some punk dude was all like: "yeah, but Against All Authority ain't playing. The drummer's dad died and they canceled the tour." And Sean and I are like, "what a bummer." So then a van pulls up and it's Link 80. They unload and they play. And it was like what the fuck? What the fuck it Link 80 doing here? Then the cops showed up.

Link 80 used to open for us, Fast Yellow Tuesday.

They were all little turds but Nick was the lead turd. One night I punched a couple of them, I think the drummer and bass player, in the Berkeley Square green room. They were talking all kinds of shit then hassling my girlfriend. I hated those guys.

They also seemed to follow us around, we'd see them at all of our shows. I called Nick on it once and he totally started talking shit about us. I wasn't sad when he died.

to jt,
I am no way defending Link 80 in the least bit, but maybe they came to your shows cause they liked your band?

to steve,

You may be right, I just think they were biters. And Nick really bugged me.

To their credit, they did always bring cute girls to our shows.
